What We Offer

Consumer Family Assistance

The Potter House provides a friendly community base on-site resource center that links our consumers to community resources that offer an opportunity for independence.

Traditional Therapeutic Program

The Potter’s House Family and Children Treatment Center provides high quality, comprehensive mental and behavioral health services to Georgia’s children and their families. These services address the effects of victimization, homelessness, abuse, neglect, traumatic events, mental illness, and other challenges in early childhood and adolescent development.

Medication Management

Medication management is a level of outpatient treatment that involves the initial evaluation of the individual’s need for psychotropic medications, the provision of a prescription, and ongoing medical monitoring related to the individual’s use of the psychotropic medication by a qualified physician/prescriber. Medication management includes monitoring, reconciling medications, and ensuring individuals get the desired outcomes. Talk Therapy

Talk Therapy is a term for a variety of treatment techniques that aim to help an individual identify and change troubling emotions, thoughts, and behavior. Talk therapy takes place with a licensed and trained mental health professional and an individual meeting one-on-one or with other individuals in a group setting. The purpose of talk therapy is to help individuals identify issues that cause emotional distress. Talk therapy may also simply serve as a safe place to explore feelings and emotions triggered by daily stressors, a medical illness, relationship issues, grief and loss, or the impact of a specific trauma.
